Curriculum Outline:

- Introduction to Gantry Cranes (2 hours): Types of gantry cranes, applications in ports, and Nigerian Ports Authority safety standards.
- Pre-Operation Checks (2 hours): Inspect gantry cranes (rails, hoists) and identify hazards like overhead obstacles.
- Basic Operation (4 hours): Learn gantry crane controls and load handling.
- Day 2:
- Practical Training (5 hours): Operate a gantry crane in a simulated port environment, lifting and moving containers.
- Assessment (3 hours): Practical assessment (load lift and move, 2 hours); written test on safety and operation (1 hour).
