Curriculum Outline:

- Introduction to Overhead Cranes (2 hours): Overview of overhead crane types, their applications in factory/warehouse settings, and Nigerian safety regulations (e.g., Factories Act).
- Pre-Use Inspections and Hazard Identification (3 hours): Inspect crane components (hooks, chains, controls) and identify hazards like overhead obstacles or uneven loads.
- Basic Operation Techniques (3 hours): Learn crane controls, load lifting, and positioning fundamentals.
- Day 2:
- Practical Training (5 hours): Hands-on operation at the training center, lifting and moving loads in a simulated warehouse environment.
- Emergency Procedures and Assessment (3 hours): Address crane malfunctions and load drops; practical assessment (load lift and move, 2 hours); written test on safety and operation (1 hour).
